Why This Project Matters

Lumberjack Landing sits along an important migratory bird corridor connected to the St. Croix River. Native plant restoration helps provide food, shelter, and resting habitat for neotropical migrant birds traveling between Minnesota and South America. These plantings also improve climate resilience, strengthen biodiversity, and support healthier ecosystems throughout the community.

This project is funded through a Tropical Wings grant and completed in partnership with the City of Stillwater Forestry Department.
