About the Event
Tackling Carbon Emissions: Embracing the Power of Change will take place on Tuesday, September 30 at 6:30 PM at the White Bear Lake Library — or virtually via Zoom. Dr. Jorissen, adjunct professor of Chemistry at the University of St. Thomas and co-leader of Northeast Metro Climate Action, will explore the science of carbon emissions, the alternatives available, and how communities can accelerate the transition to clean energy. With his background in climate action, city planning, and community leadership, Dr. Jorissen offers valuable insights into how individuals and communities can make a difference.
Sustainable Stillwater MN is proud to support this event because reducing carbon emissions is a critical step in addressing climate change and fostering community resilience. This program directly aligns with the organization’s mission to lower the community’s carbon footprint while promoting cleaner, healthier, and more livable spaces for future generations. By joining forces with regional partners, Sustainable Stillwater MN helps amplify knowledge, strengthen connections, and inspire collective climate action.
