PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

Sustainable Stillwater MN is looking for an organized expert to assist our board members and workgroup leaders in program management and volunteer coordination.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As our general administrator, you provide office support to the board of directors as well as workgroup leaders for the smooth-running of Sustainable Stillwater MN. As our program manager, you oversee the fulfillment of SSMN workgroup goals. You'll coordinate activities between multiple projects without directly managing them. This entails understanding the workgroups' initiatives and plans, assuring up-to-date documentation of the workgroups, and providing workgroup input to our Communications Specialist.

WORK SETTING, LENGTH, AND COMPENSATION

  • Work will be a combination of remote and in the field

  • Lots of flexibility in this position

  • Hourly rate: $20.00

  • Hours/week: 15 hours maximum (10-12 hours average)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Live within 15 miles of Stillwater, Minnesota

  • Access to the internet and a computer

GENERAL ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Answer/forward public emails that go to info@sustainablestillwatermn.org respectfully.

  • Manage SSMN’s calendar of events and meetings.

  • File/organize BOD agendas and minutes in Google Drive for the public.

  • Attend Board of Directors meetings

  • Work in collaboration with Communications to write/add new blog posts to the website about BOD members, BOD meetings, workgroup initiatives, and the organization’s events.

  • Create mass emails for workgroup leaders and board members.

  • Submit “Outreach Opportunity” form for record-keeping.

  • Attend outreach events/booth on behalf of SSMN.

  • Transfer donations to the Treasurer when necessary.

PROGRAM MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Support and supervise workgroup leaders.

  • Train new workgroup leaders on organization’s processes, procedures, and communications.

  • Answer questions workgroup leaders have about SSMN, materials, procedures, etc.

  • Collect and compile workgroup leader reports (monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly) to share with the board of directors.

  • Relay workgroup leader concerns and requests to the board of directors.

  • Manage and maintain spreadsheets for all workgroup/BOD initiatives.

  • Provide event signs and other outreach materials to workgroup leaders.

  • Gather photos/videos from events to post on social media, SSMN’s blog, for the newsletter, or other future publications.
