Sustainable Stillwater MN has helped the City of Stillwater pass multiple resolutions to improve our community and our natural environment. This list also includes resolutions that are support SSMN but were adopted without our help.

Insect pollinator best management practices for Minnesota yards and gardens. Insect pollinators are in trouble, populations are declining. More than one-third of all plants or plant products consumed by humans are directly or indirectly dependent on insects for pollination. Many plants such as almond, apple, blueberry, sunflower, clover, canola, etc. cannot reproduce without the help from insect pollinators.
LIGHTS OUT PROGRAM (BIRD-FRIENDLY COMMUNITIES)

The Lights Out program has been ongoing since 2007. It is supported by both Building Owners and Manager’s Associations (Minneapolis and St. Paul) and by the individual building staff. Lights Out is good for business and is an initiative to be proud of.
