SIMPLE WAYS TO JOIN US
SSMN is filled with friendly, inclusive, and welcoming individuals, so join us and bring a friend! We have many ways to get involved.

ATTEND UPCOMING EVENTS
Throughout the year we host several events at various locations in Stillwater. These events range from utilizing muscles for cleanups and plantings to simply attending educational classes, fun shows, fairs, or festivals. We are always looking for willing volunteers to help with various initiatives, but we also host/support events that are educational.
APPLY TO BUSINESS DIRECTORY
Do you have a business in Washington County that is eco-conscious? If so, apply to our Green Business Directory. All businesses (including home-based, sole proprietary, and others) must apply to be in the Directory by filling out an application that has strict criteria about their products and practices from GreenAmerica.org.

BUY SSMN SWAG
Support SSMN by purchasing some swag. Our clothing is luxurious, strong, and soft, purchased from Econscious, an American company that specializes in sustainable apparel and accessories. Printing is done by Big Frog of Woodbury, which uses water-based (not oil-based) inks. All proceeds are distributed to fund various SSMN initiatives.

SUBMIT AN INITIATIVE
Do you have a great idea for a future project, program, or event? Or would you like us to help support your organization's sustainable-related initiative? SSMN mission is to create and support local sustainability initiatives, and we want to here it from you on what we should be focusing on doing next.

VOTE FOR GREEN LEADERS
The most powerful tool we have right now to fight climate change is to choose better leaders. Leaders who understand that climate change is real and are willing to take brave action. Let’s start right now to choose, appoint, and elect enlightened, science-believing leaders at all levels of government.

BEST HOME PRACTICES
This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. Support us by going out of your way to practice sustainability in your home and in your daily life. This can be done on a small scale like using reusable bags for groceries or on a large scale by supporting government candidates or programs that are focused on sustainability.
