The first of dozens of free cigarette disposal units, courtesy of Sustainable Stillwater MN, are going up around Stillwater. Look for the black vertical box attached to light poles and tall signs. Cigarette butts are a pollutant that gets into our pristine river and the food chain. If you are a business and need one, contact us at sustainablestillwatermn@gmail.com .

Each unit has a number and will be labeled with a sponsoring business’s name.

The cigarette disposal units were acquired by Sustainable Stillwater MN from America the Beautiful Foundation, and installed by the Stillwater Public Works Dept. The followup and planning for business involvement are being done by Cameron and Renee Murray, downtown residents, who are working with Sustainable Stillwater's Natural Resources Workgroup.
