The 2025 Gala theme is “Mission: Possible – An Evening of Climate Action.” It’s a celebration of local sustainability progress and a call to collective action for a greener, healthier future.

The Gala takes place on Thursday, October 30th, 2025, at the JX Venue — 123 2nd St N, Stillwater, MN 55082.

• Doors open at 5:00 PM

• Program runs from 5:30 – 8:30 PM Arrive between 5:00 and 6:00 PM to check in, mingle, and browse the silent auction!

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Jonathan Foley as our Keynote Speaker for the evening!

Dr. Foley is one of the world’s leading climate scientists and the Executive Director of Project Drawdown, the foremost resource on climate solutions. A globally recognized expert in sustainability, global food systems, and environmental science, he has dedicated his career to advancing actionable strategies to protect our climate and natural resources.

With over 140 published scientific articles and recognition as one of the top 1% most-cited scientists, Dr. Foley has advised world leaders, governments, nonprofits, and businesses. He previously led renowned institutions like the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment and the California Academy of Sciences.

His work has been featured in TED Talks, National Geographic, the New York Times, and more. He is also the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Heinz Award for the Environment and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.

Yes! Each ticket includes a full plated dinner. Guests will choose from three delicious entrée options when registering: Minnesota Stuffed Chicken, Vegan/Gluten-Free Asian Stir Fry, or Walleye. Guests will receive a meal ticket to put on their plate so servers know which dinner they chose.

Guests can choose from three delicious dinner options:

• Minnesota Stuffed Chicken – A baked chicken breast filled with wild rice, green onions, and savory stuffing. Finished with mushrooms and a light cream sauce, and served with baby red potatoes and green beans.
  

• Vegetable Asian Stir Fry (Vegan & Gluten-Free) – A vibrant medley of asparagus, cabbage, red bell peppers, celery, onions, and cashews tossed in a flavorful teriyaki blend. Served over brown rice and quinoa, and topped with fresh cilantro and green onions.
  

• Walleye Dinner – Lightly breaded in seasoned panko and served with house-made garlic aioli. Comes with baby red potatoes and green beans.

Each meal is thoughtfully prepared to suit a variety of tastes and dietary preferences.

The dress code is "Thrifted-Cocktail" or "Wear it Again."

That means semi-formal attire with a sustainable twist—think cocktail dresses, suits, or fun formalwear you’ve thrifted, borrowed, or worn before. We encourage creativity and eco-conscious choices that align with the spirit of the evening: stylish, smart, and sustainable!

• Your event QR code (found in your registration confirmation email) for fast check-in

• A smartphone, which is needed to participate in the auction, make donations, and receive event updates

• A checkbook if you prefer to make donations or payments without using a smartphone or credit card

We'll have staff on hand to assist with check-in and alternate payment options.

Street parking is available near the venue, and the Second Street Ramp is just a short walk away. We also encourage eco-friendly transportation options like walking, biking, or carpooling when possible!

Yes! The JX Venue offers a full-service bar where drinks are available for purchase—cash or credit accepted.

Yes, seating will be assigned. If you purchase a table, all guests in your party will be seated together. If you're attending solo or in a small group, we’ll make sure you’re seated comfortably with other friendly guests.

Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible, including parking, entrances, restrooms, and seating. We can also provide large-print materials, reserved front seating, and accommodate dietary needs. If you need any accommodations, just let us know—we’re happy to help.
