About Event

Fashion can be creative, affordable, and sustainable!

The Sustainable Style Swap is a fun, hands-on event for Stillwater Area High School students that celebrates clothing reuse, creativity, and reducing textile waste. Hosted during Valley Climate Action Week, this student-led event is presented in partnership with Style Xchange.

Students are invited to bring clean, gently used clothing to swap with classmates while exploring exciting upcycling stations where they can customize garments using fabric paint, stencils, screen printing, repair techniques, and other creative tools. Whether you're looking to refresh your wardrobe or give an old favorite new life, there's something for everyone.

The event demonstrates that choosing secondhand clothing isn't just environmentally friendly—it can also be fashionable, fun, and uniquely personal.

No experience is necessary, and students are welcome whether they bring clothing to swap or simply want to participate in the creative activities.
