About the Event
In celebration of Earth Week, HealthPartners Clinic – Stillwater is hosting a Bike Drive on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM at 1500 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, MN. This event is supported by Sustainable Stillwater MN and organized in partnership with Keystone Community Services and Bikes4Kids to give unused bicycles a second life.
Donating old or unused bicycles is a simple yet impactful way to support a healthier and more resilient community. Bicycles provide people of all ages with an eco-friendly mode of transportation, reducing reliance on cars, lowering carbon emissions, and improving overall air quality. Additionally, biking promotes physical and mental well-being, encouraging active lifestyles while reducing stress and fostering social connections within the community.
This initiative also strengthens economic and social resilience. Many donated bicycles will be refurbished by Keystone Community Services' Express Bike Shop, a youth apprenticeship program that equips teens with valuable mechanical and workplace skills, preparing them for future employment. At the same time, Bikes4Kids ensures that children, families, and individuals in need have access to reliable, affordable transportation—helping them commute to work, school, and other essential destinations.
By giving an unused bike a second life, community members can contribute to environmental sustainability, empower young people with hands-on job training, and provide opportunities for those who need a dependable way to get around.
Where Do the Bikes Go?
🚴 Keystone Community Services - Express Bike Shop: This youth development program trains teens in bike repair, helping them build job skills while keeping bicycles out of landfills.
🚴 Bikes4Kids: This organization refurbishes and distributes bicycles to children, families, and individuals in need, providing a low-cost, sustainable transportation option.
