About the Event
Bike & Roll to School Day is a fun, community-wide morning that invites elementary students across the Stillwater Area School District to start their day on two wheels. On May 6, students are encouraged to bike (or roll) to school during the morning arrival window, where they’ll be welcomed by school staff, volunteers, and plenty of encouragement along the way.
For families, this is an easy and meaningful way to build healthy habits, spend time outdoors, and help your child experience biking as a safe, everyday transportation option. Each participating school organizes its own arrival flow and support, with volunteers helping guide students, assist with bike parking, and create a positive, high-energy start to the day. Whether your child rides with friends, as part of a group, or alongside you, the goal is simple: make it fun, safe, and memorable.
Supported by Sustainable Stillwater MN, this annual event continues to grow each year—helping kids build confidence, reducing morning traffic, and strengthening a shared culture of active, sustainable transportation in our community.
