The Beauty and Importance of Climate Art

What happens when art, climate action, and community come together? Join street artist and art teacher Mina Leierwoord for a lively conversation about the beauty and importance of climate art—and how creativity can help us connect with the world around us.

Mina is a street artist and art teacher who brings creativity to everything from art bikes and art cars to murals, street school, and community celebrations. From winter art shanties and spring May Day parades to summer road trips and autumn's Barebones Extravaganza, her work celebrates the earth, the universe, and the people and living creatures who inspire us. Together, we'll explore adventures in art, recycling, creative reuse, and the ways artistic expression can help us reconnect with our neighbors, communities, and the natural world.

Why Sustainable Stillwater MN Is Supporting This Event

At Sustainable Stillwater MN, we believe climate action is about more than policies and projects—it's also about building relationships, inspiring new ideas, and finding meaningful ways to care for the places we call home. Art offers a powerful way to bring people together, spark conversations, and imagine a more sustainable future. We're proud to support this event because it celebrates the creativity, connection, and community spirit that make local climate action possible.
