Now Accepting Nominations: 2025 Sustainability Leadership Award

Do you know someone turning environmental commitment into real-world impact? A local business, educator, nonprofit, or everyday citizen making a difference? It’s time to recognize their efforts.


We are now accepting nominations for the 2025 Sustainability Leadership Award, to be presented at our Mission: Possible gala on October 30, 2025. This annual award honors individuals and organizations who lead by example—those who don’t just talk about change, but make it happen.

What We’re Looking For

Nominees can come from any sector—business, nonprofit, education, government, or community—and must:

  • Demonstrate long-term dedication to sustainability through action and advocacy

  • Show measurable impact in one or more areas:

    • Clean energy or green infrastructure

    • Reuse, recycling, and materials recovery

    • Sustainable transportation or EV infrastructure

    • Local food systems and farm-to-table efforts

    • Environmental education or policy

    • Climate action and equity

  • Be active in or have a sustained impact on the St. Croix Valley Area

  • Inspire others and model best practices in environmental stewardship


Who Might Be Nominated?

  • A local business reducing its carbon footprint and improving energy efficiency

  • A volunteer leading regular community clean-up days or habitat restoration

  • A public official advocating for sustainability-focused legislation

  • An educator instilling environmental values in the next generation

  • A neighborhood group spearheading innovative, community-driven projects


How to Nominate

Anyone may submit a nomination using our official form:



Deadline to nominate: August 31, 2025


Finalists will be selected by the Sustainability Awards Team, appointed by the Board Chair. One or more awards may be given at the team’s discretion.
