We Can Do It: An Afternoon of Climate Solutions with Dr. Jon Foley

A rainy Friday afternoon didn’t stop 35 people from gathering at the Stillwater Public Library for We Can Do It – With Dr. Jon Foley during Valley Climate Action Week!

Hosted by Sustainable Stillwater MN, the event brought the community together to learn about climate change, practical solutions, Project Drawdown, and what’s possible when we focus on optimism and action. Dr. Jon Foley, Executive Director of Project Drawdown, shared his expertise and helped frame climate solutions in a way that left attendees feeling informed and empowered.

The conversation continued during a lively Q&A, giving attendees an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and dig deeper into the topics they had just heard about.

We’re grateful to the Stillwater Public Library for being such a wonderful partner and helping make this event possible. We’re also grateful to Dr. Foley for sharing his time and expertise, which was an incredible gift to SSMN and the community.

We Can Do It! was a great reminder that climate conversations don’t have to leave us feeling overwhelmed. They can leave us with knowledge, ideas, and a sense of possibility — and sometimes, that’s exactly what we need to keep moving forward.
