OUR CURRENT PROJECTS

SEASONAL WAYS YOU CAN HELP

There are several things you can do to help the City protect the environment.

Winter:

Please follow the winter parking regulations.

Please don’t shovel or blow snow into the streets.

Use Saul sparingly; sand is safer and can be swept up and reused.

Spring-summer-fall:

Keep leaves, sand, excess fertilizer, and lawn chemicals or grass clippings off the streets.

Please keep yard waste out of the buffer zones of ravines, wetlands, and lakes.

Check out the "Adopt-A-Drain" Program!

All seasons: Please pick up after your dog

DOWNTOWN CIGARETTE DISPOSAL

A Make America Beautiful grant was procured in 2019 to install cigarette disposal canisters around downtown Stillwater. The Natural Resources Work Group manages that project. SSMN, the local business owners, and downtown visitors are all grateful for this project.

OPEN SPACE PARKS AND TRAILS DAYS

The first of the month is Open Space Parks and Trails Day. The idea is to get fresh air and exercise while exploring nature by hiking, biking, playing, etc. on parks and trails that you haven't been to yet. Give yourself leisure time to explore somewhere new in your community/area.
