What can a garden do for clean water, wildlife, and a healthier landscape? Find out during Explore a Local Rain Garden, a guided daytime tour presented as part of Land Stewardship Day during Valley Climate Action Week.

Join Sustainable Stillwater MN and the Washington Conservation District for an up-close look at a local rain garden and learn how these thoughtfully designed landscapes help capture and manage stormwater, reduce runoff, support native plants and wildlife, and contribute to local land stewardship.

During the tour, Washington Conservation District staff will guide participants through one or more local rain gardens and share information about how rain gardens work, why they matter, and how sustainable landscaping practices can benefit our local environment.

This daytime event is a great opportunity to learn more about rain gardens and see sustainable stormwater management in action. Participants may also leave with ideas and inspiration for supporting or creating rain gardens in their own neighborhoods.
