About the Event
Pollinators are critical to a healthy environment and many native species of bees are in jeopardy. Birds, bats, butterflies, beetles, some small mammals, and most importantly, bees pollinate plants and are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food. In this class, you will learn what you can do at home to create healthy pollinator habitats for native bees and butterflies in your own yard.
This class is offered by the Ramsey County Garden Educators, a community of trained horticulture volunteers dedicated to promoting sustainable gardening practices and environmental stewardship in Ramsey County, Minnesota. Through educational workshops, community gardens, and outreach programs, they provide research-based gardening knowledge and hands-on support to local residents. Their mission is to empower the community to cultivate healthy plants, people, and environments.
Instructor: Ramsey County Garden Educator
Cost: $5/free for co-op owners
Why Sustainable Stillwater MN supports this event:
Pollinator health is directly tied to biodiversity and food security. We support this class because it equips community members with tangible ways to restore habitat and contribute to a more balanced and resilient local environment.
