A heartwarming Silent Auction item from our Mission: Possible Gala on October 30, 2025, has officially been fulfilled—and it came with flour-dusted hands, full bellies, and a cherished family tradition.

The winning bidder enjoyed a Lefse Making Day led by Nancy Lyner, whose family has been making lefse for generations. Together, they learned the art of preparing Grandma’s beloved lefse recipe, from rolling the dough to cooking each delicate round. The day also included Swedish glögg and a cozy smorgasbord-style lunch, making the experience as nourishing as it was memorable.

In addition to hands-on instruction, the winner received a Bethany Housewares lefse kit, complete with a turning stick, corrugated rolling pin, rolling pin covers, pastry board and cloth set, and lefse mix—everything needed to continue the tradition at home.
Thank you to Nancy Lyner for generously donating this meaningful experience and helping Sustainable Stillwater MN turn community support into lasting memories.
