What a fantastic kickoff to the 2025 season of Plant A Seed! On Wednesday, June 4, members of the Greater Stillwater Area Green Business Directory gathered at the cozy and creative Matt’s Basement Lounge for an evening full of inspiration, ideas, and (of course) bubble tea.

A big thank you to Matt and Brook for hosting us in their nostalgic gaming tea café. From the refreshing beverage samples to their inventive waffle creations (seriously—don’t skip the BLT!), they made us feel right at home.
One of the evening’s highlights was a presentation from Scott and Jill of Trinity Lutheran, who unveiled their exciting proposal to install four free Level 2 EV charging stations in downtown Stillwater—an incredible sustainability step for our community. To fund the project, they’re looking for donated items for an upcoming silent auction, so if your business can help, now’s the time to plug in!
We also enjoyed reconnecting with familiar faces, welcoming new ones, and hearing all the creative ways our members and board are working to reduce their environmental footprint.

This was also the first Plant A Seed event for Andi Arnold, Sustainable Stillwater MN’s new Executive Director, who is already bringing fresh energy and ideas to our mission.
Next up: we’re heading to Lake Elmo on July 16—details coming soon. We hope to see you there as we continue to grow our green business community together!
Let’s keep planting seeds!
