Sustainable Stillwater MN Awarded Grant for New Youth Program

Sustainable Stillwater MN is honored and deeply grateful to receive a grant from the Kay Clint Fund of United Way of Washington County-East. The Kay Clint Fund provides one-time start-up funding for new, innovative, and pilot programs that address emerging needs in our community. Originally established in 1963 to spark pilot projects and inventive solutions to unmet needs, the fund was renamed in 1989 to honor longtime Executive Director Kay Clint, who led the organization from 1974 to 1988.

This generous support will help us launch From Climate Anxiety to Action during the 2026–2027 school year. This six-session workshop series will help local high school students understand climate-related emotions, build resilience, connect with their community, discover their leadership strengths, and turn concern into meaningful action.

The program reflects Sustainable Stillwater MN’s commitment to youth leadership, inclusion, mental wellness, community collaboration, and practical climate solutions. Participants will conclude the series by developing and implementing a local climate action project.
