Your Voice, Your Valley: Learning Through Voting Trivia & Conversation

What happens when civic engagement meets trivia, good conversation, and a little happy-hour energy? Your Voice, Your Valley brought 14 community members together at Lift Bridge Coworking Space during Valley Climate Action Week for an interactive afternoon of learning and connection.

The free, nonpartisan civic engagement and voter education event took a fun approach, turning the topic into a trivia-style workshop. Participants learned, tested their knowledge, and had plenty of opportunities to connect and talk along the way.

One of the biggest takeaways from the event was the trivia game itself. It created a unique and approachable way to share civic information — and gave us a workshop format that could potentially be adapted and used again in the future.

We’re especially grateful to Lift Bridge Coworking Space for providing such a welcoming space and generously donating the venue. And a big thank-you to Sirid for putting together the trivia and helping make the event both informative and fun!

Your Voice, Your Valley was a good reminder that learning about civic participation doesn’t have to feel like a lecture. Sometimes a little trivia, conversation, food, and a welcoming space can create exactly the kind of environment where people want to learn and connect.
