What a night it was on November 2! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each one of you who joined us for FOR A BETTER FUTURE with Clean Energy for ALL, the theme of Sustainable Stillwater MN's second fundraiser. A total of 184 individuals gathered to not only attend but also to demonstrate their commitment to making the Stillwater area a greener, more sustainable community.
The energy in the room was contagious as supporters came together to pledge their resources and support our mission. We are thrilled to announce that the funds raised during the event will play a crucial role in several key initiatives:
Building a Stronger Green Business Economy: Supporting businesses that prioritize sustainability is a cornerstone of our efforts.
Developing Climate Policies: Working within government to establish policies that address climate change and provide energy assistance to vulnerable communities.
Creating a Walkable, Bicycle-Friendly, Carbon-Free Community: Fostering a community that is not only environmentally friendly but also promotes healthier modes of transportation.
Protecting and Restoring Our Natural Environment: Initiatives focused on preserving and rehabilitating the beautiful natural landscapes that surround us.
The success of the evening was not just measured by the funds raised but by the sense of community and shared commitment to a sustainable future. We are thrilled to share that through the silent auction, live auction, and the appeal, our generous attendees contributed over $30,000 to further our initiatives.
