Sustainable Stillwater MN was honored to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Lakeview Hospital’s new complex, marking an exciting step forward for health, sustainability, and community in the Stillwater area.

Joined by a host of community leaders—including Stillwater’s mayor, city council members, State Representative Josiah Hill, SSMN Board Chair Rick Heidick, and Bird City’s Allison McGinnis—we celebrated not only a physical structure, but a bold vision. This new facility stands as a testament to what’s possible when we unite around shared values: excellence, service, innovation, and environmental stewardship.

Lakeview Hospital’s thoughtful planning and commitment to sustainable design reflect the kind of leadership our region needs to build a resilient and healthy future. From energy-efficient infrastructure to reduced environmental impact, this project is a shining example of how health care and sustainability can go hand in hand.
As advocates for climate-conscious development and a livable Stillwater, we’re proud to support and uplift this transformative investment. Congratulations to Lakeview Hospital and everyone involved in making this vision a reality—we can’t wait to see the impact it brings to generations to come. 💚
