Through years of collaboration with local agencies, residents, and volunteers, Del and his fellow advocates built community momentum for lasting change. Their persistence paid off — in 2023, Lily Lake was officially removed from Minnesota’s impaired waters list, marking a major victory for local water stewardship.

Known for his humility and consistency, Del embodies the belief that “many people doing little things make a big difference.” His leadership has inspired countless residents to participate in lake cleanups, adopt sustainable practices, and take pride in the health of their shared environment.
