Whether you’re looking to donate an old bike, help kids embrace cycling, or support bike safety education, Sustainable Stillwater MN has three exciting bike events for you. Mark your calendars and consider volunteering to make these events a success!

1. Earth Week Bike Drive – April 22, 2025
HealthPartners Clinic – Stillwater, 1500 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, MN | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Celebrate Earth Week by giving your old bicycle a second life! HealthPartners Clinic – Stillwater is hosting a Bike Drive in collaboration with Sustainable Stillwater MN, Keystone Community Services, and Bikes4Kids. Your donated bikes will be refurbished and distributed to children, families, and individuals in need, providing a sustainable and affordable transportation option.
How Your Donation Helps:
Reduces waste and promotes sustainability.
Supports Keystone’s youth apprenticeship program, where teens learn valuable bike repair and workplace skills.
Provides essential transportation to those who need it most through Bikes4Kids.
Want to help? We need volunteers to assist with bike collection and organization! Sign up for a shift: Morning Shift (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) or Afternoon Shift (12:00 PM – 3:00 PM).

2. Bike to School Day – May 7, 2025
Participating Schools: Lily Lake, Lake Elmo, Rutherford, Andersen, Afton/Lakeland, Brookview
Get ready to ride. Bike to School Day is a nationwide event that encourages kids to ride their bikes to school, promoting healthy habits, reducing car emissions, and making biking a fun part of everyday life.
How You Can Get Involved:
Volunteer with Sustainable Stillwater MN. Help students park their bikes, ensure road safety, and even join the "moving school bus" to ride alongside young cyclists.
Cheer on the kids. Show your support as they arrive at school on two wheels.

3. SPD/SSMN Youth Bike Rodeo – May 10, 2025
St. Croix Valley Recreation Center Dome, 1675 Market Dr, Stillwater, MN | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Join us for the SPD/SSMN Bike Safety Rodeo, a hands-on event designed to teach beginner cyclists essential riding skills and safety practices. Kids will navigate a real riding course, receive free bike maintenance checks, helmet fittings, and enjoy a free hot dog lunch and special gifts.
