Every Gift Is a Stitch: Help Us Raise $5,000 on Give to the Max Day!
Every quilt begins with individual pieces. Every thread helps hold them together. And every gift helps strengthen the work we're doing right here in the St. Croix Valley.
On Thursday, November 19, Sustainable Stillwater MN is participating in Minnesota's annual Give to the Max Day, with a goal of raising $5,000 to keep local sustainability programs, community connections, and environmental projects growing.
Because when we each contribute a little, we can create something meaningful together.
Look what we've stitched together!
In 2026, our community showed us what's possible when people bring their time, energy, and ideas together. Every project adds something to the bigger picture.
🌳 200 native trees planted — Growing healthier habitats and a greener future.
🚲 125 bicycles collected — Helping get bikes into the hands of children who need them.
🧤 3 Trash Dashes hosted — Bringing neighbors together to clean up the places we share.
🚗 100 people explored electric vehicles — Giving drivers a chance to experience EVs firsthand.
And that's just part of the picture!
1,200 Valley Eco Fair participants and 40 partners came together to celebrate sustainability.
More than 850 people joined our first-ever Valley Climate Action Week for learning, connection, and action.
7 schools participated in Bike to School.
15 local government meetings received SSMN support.
150 local members are connected through our Green Business Directory.
More than 1,000 volunteer hours helped bring our work to life.
Each number represents a piece of something bigger: a person who showed up, a new connection, a place cared for, or an idea turned into action.
And just like a quilt, this work doesn't come together on its own. It takes people willing to contribute what they can, whether that's an afternoon of volunteering, a partnership, a fresh idea, or a financial gift.

On Thursday, November 19, we're joining Give to the Max Day with a goal of raising $5,000 by the end of the day.
Your donation helps support the people, coordination, and resources that hold this work together. It helps keep climate education, community events, volunteer opportunities, and local sustainability projects free or accessible to people across the St. Croix Valley.
This year, we're choosing to put more of our time and resources toward our programs rather than holding our traditional gala. That makes your support especially meaningful.
Whether you give $25, $100, $500, or another amount that feels right for you, your contribution matters. No single stitch makes a quilt, and no single gift has to carry the whole load. Together, we can create something that lasts.
