Three Giant Earths, One Big Message 🌎🌎🌎

If you attended the 2026 Lumberjack Days Parade, you may have spotted three giant inflatable Earths "rolling" through downtown Stillwater. That was Sustainable Stillwater MN—and yes, we had a message!

Four people in Earth costumes pose by a red car and bike, holding eco signs: Sustainable Stillwater and There’s No Planet B.

Our team joined one of Stillwater's favorite hometown traditions to remind our community that there's no Planet B. Alongside our Earth mascots, an electric vehicle, an e-bike, and our "No Planet B" sign, we handed out Valley Climate Action Week postcards, SSMN stickers, and plenty of candy to the thousands of families lining the parade route.

The parade welcomed more than 90 parade units and an estimated 7,500+ spectators, making it an incredible opportunity to spread Sustainable Stillwater MN's message to our community in a fun, memorable way. More importantly, it gave us the chance to hopefully spark conversations about sustainability, celebrate local action, and build excitement for the upcoming Valley Climate Action Week.

Events like this remind us that sustainability doesn't always start with a meeting or a workshop—it can begin with a smile, a wave, a sticker, or seeing three giant Earths rolling down the street. We're grateful to everyone who cheered us on, stopped to chat, or picked up information about getting involved.

A huge thank you goes to the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce for organizing another fantastic Lumberjack Days Parade, to our dedicated team who braved the summer heat (and a few blisters and bruises!) to represent SSMN, and to everyone who helped behind the scenes to make our parade debut possible.

We had an absolute blast, and who knows... you just might see those giant Earths making another appearance soon.

Until then, we'll see you at Valley Climate Action Week!
