We’re excited to welcome Scott Kneeskern to the Sustainable Stillwater MN Board of Directors. Scott officially joined the board in December 2025, and we’re grateful to have his experience, passion, and community-focused perspective guiding our work.

Scott has lived in Stillwater since 2021, where he and his wife raised their four children. Deeply rooted in the community, Scott has long been active in local schools, church leadership, and volunteer efforts that support youth and families. His commitment to community connection and service aligns closely with Sustainable Stillwater MN’s mission.
Professionally, Scott is a Creative Director with a strong focus on ethical and sustainable design. Throughout his career, he has worked to reduce wasteful design practices, advocate for responsible materials, and mentor young designers entering the field. Scott believes that clear, honest communication is essential to advancing sustainability and sees design as a powerful tool for positive change.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time outdoors — paddleboarding, hiking, snowshoeing, gardening, and creating pollinator-friendly spaces at home. He and his wife also enjoy road trips that allow them to explore new places on foot and connect more deeply with the natural world.
Scott joined Sustainable Stillwater MN to be more active in his commitment to a clean and sustainable environment. He is especially passionate about championing climate action at the local level and helping foster a culture of sustainability for future generations. As Scott puts it, “There is no Planet B.”
We’re thrilled to welcome Scott to the board and look forward to the energy, creativity, and leadership he brings to Sustainable Stillwater MN.
Please join us in welcoming Scott Kneeskern!
